My little Jear Bear is such a sweet little guy. He is also our spoiled rotton little man, who pretty much gets whatever he wants...whenever he wants. Jarin comes off as being shy, but he is really the family clown!
I don't think we have ever celebrated Jarin's birthday on his actual birthday. I guess there are advantages and disadvantages to having a summer birthday. Ira is gone on a High Adventure trip with the Young Men in our ward during Jarins birthday - so we celebrated three days early. One of these years he's going to get it, and not like that we improvise every year. Then again...maybe he'll like it, cuz he gets his big bash on one day, and whomever is around, we still celebrate a little bit on his actual birthday.
About two months ago we were in Salt Lake, and drove by a new swim park called Cowabunga. It has lots of brightly colored water slides, and Jarin announced that we were going to go to the "rainbow park" for his birthday. He has been very persistent ever since. So what else could we do? Remember what I said earlier...he gets whatever he wants... So of course...we took him there! (part of that would be to ease our GUILT of not celebrating on his actual birthday). It was a super fun water park for our family. Brayden was gone on a backpacking trip (will post later), and we had my nephew Tannon with us. We played and played, then the next day we played and played again on our 4-wheelers. Wow...we play a lot!
This is ONE HAPPY birthday boy!
(even if it really wasn't his birthday)
(I'm there, just BEHIND the camera - I like it that way)

He waited an ENTIRE year for this special occassion. Can't you just see the look of complete bliss on his face?
After such a long day of playing, Jarin finally got to open his gifts. It was bedtime by then, so he wanted to sleep by them to make sure they were OK through the night.

Our family, minus Brayden. I really missed him!
Every time I go to these mountains, there are different flowers in bloom.
Emi & Tan picked these flowers for their moms.
THEN on his actual birthday, I took the kids to Downata Hot Springs swimming AGAIN with Mandi & Kelli and their kids, and we camped over at the park (yes, we mom's can pitch tents without our husbands...if we HAVE to). As Kelli said, "We are either the coolest moms EVER, or the CRAZIEST moms ever." I think the answer to that is, ... we're BOTH! (maybe a bit more crazy than cool - but I'll accept both titles :0).
Kamden loved being pushed on the swing.

So this week when I am making my kids work like crazy to clean this messy house we've created this summer of playing...and you hear them complain that all they did all summer was work...and they cry at how mean their mom is, and how picked on they are...you and I will know better. The truth is...I AM a MEAN mom, if making them do jobs makes me mean, but I'm cool and crazy too! At least that's what I'm trying to convince my children of! :0)
I hope you had a great birthday Jarin - you are the laughter that fills our family, and the glue that pulls us together. You are so much fun to be with, and we love you SO much!
