Shoes...ShOeS...and more shoes!!!

My mom sent this email to us that was a continuation of Braydens eagle project. We had extra monies after all the shipping and everything was said and done. We debated if we should purchase a few more things at home, and then spend more money on shipping. But then we realized that we probably wouldn't have any more room in our rental car in Hawaii to bring more boxes that were shipped to the airport. So we asked my parents, and they said that we could bring the money to them, and when they went on their first temple trip to Fiji, they could buy shoes and bring them back to the people. So that's what we did. In an earlier email, my mom said that they had bought about 50 pairs of shoes in Fiji, and didn't have any more room to bring more home. They would be buying more shoes when they go back.

This is the eagle project that just doesn't end - I, for one, like it that way! I think it has not only blessed their lives on the islands, but has blessed ours more than I could have imagined.

This is my moms email to us:

Saturday we went around to some families and gave them shoes. A couple of the bigger families especially were so grateful because they just didn't know how they were going to get shoes for all their kids to go to the temple. Just an ordinary pair of flip flops here on the island run about $12 and up. At some of the stops there were other children standing there watching, so we gave them a pair too. It was kind of like playing Santa. So thanks Brayden and Nathan for all the things you provided to make life better for these people and to make it so fun for us to see the happiness in their faces.

We still have about 15 pairs to give away and have to buy 2 more pair as we ran out of size 12 real fast! People here have big feet because they have gone bare foot for so long.
